Years of hearings, community education culminate with testimony to establish a half-mile lighting perimeter around a local observatory. Fairfax County Park Authority presented the Harold Strickland Partnership and Group Collaboration Award to nonprofit Analemma Society's Christina Tyler Wenks, who was also named one of the 2024 outstanding volunteers. The Strickland Award was given to Analemma Society founder Jacqueline Olin.
